Zip Strip Love

I had a pile of ZIP strips (the ends of the paper that have the product name and number on them) left from a recent workshop that I had prepared for, so I thought why waste them! They would make a CUTE page! I used pieces from the NEW Calypso Paper Pack,  Calypso Complements, and Calypso Sequins. Great way to use up Scraps!

Your Invited

My baby is turning 8, eek I'm getting old, and since we have decided on a movie party at our local theatre I thought it would be the perfect time to make some cute invites to send to all his little buddies!

I started by making the envelopes and tickets out of our fabulously Artiste Cartridge. It has over 700 images, so finding the perfect cut for any occasion is a breeze!

Then to dress up the outside I used one of our BRAND NEW WHILE SUPPLIES LAST Thin Cuts, Carnival Fun. I was a little on the fence about this one at first but I LOVE it! #CUTE

And who can resist a stamp with a matching die! With all separate pieces it made stamping the popcorn effortless!

The ink and cardstock used in this project were classic carnival colours! Black, Cranberry, Honey, White Daisy, and Saffron (top of the popcorn)

You are My Sunshine

I was playing around today with my next project for one of my monthly groups! I was attracted to the vibrance of this Picture My Life collection. It spoke to me right away! I wanted to keep the pages basic with lots of matting and let the pictures and the cards to the talking!

I added some of the NEW Magical Sequins to the page! The yellow matched perfectly! They you can't really see in the picture but i filled the sequins with liquid glass to get more of a gem effect.

Then to add some more shine to the page I incorporated Close to My Heart Black Shimmer trim and Thistle Extra thick Twine around the photos.

For cardstock I used White Daisy, Lagoon, Honey, Pixie, Gypsy and Black.

My Fluffy Friends

I LOVE  my new furry pals! They were so simple yet so so cute! Let me explain the technique to make your own cute little critters!

First I used the fabulous NEW TICKLED PINK thin cuts (Z3228) from Close to My Heart. I so appreciate not having to fussy cut everything out! Time saver!

Use these 4 metal dies with your favorite die-cutting machine to cut shapes that coordinate perfectly with the My Acrylix® Tickled Pink stamp set (C1651)

Then I stamped the flamingos with Cotton Candy and Black ink!

I mixed Cotton Candy Re-inker and water in spray pen and sprayed white twine.

Then I used the bonding memories glue to outline the pink park of the flamingo.

Final step after the twine was dry, I cut it into small pieces and stuck it to the flamingos and my furry friends were born!
